Download Wii Games
If you're anything like me then your Nintendo Wii is slowly becoming not just part of the furniture but part of the family - elbowing it's way into your life, consuming your time, minute by precious minute!
By now you would have started to notice that you see close members of your family a lot less these days, yet you see your friends more often than you normally thought you could stand them.
You remember when you played video games on other consoles for hours on end you felt hollow and sluggish and reluctant to do anything remotely resembling exercise - but these days you have a constant feeling of energy. Your reflexes are that little bit sharper. You don't puff and wheeze when you walk up the stairs anymore...and members of the opposite sex seem to notice something different about you too.
Something indescribable...
Something intangible...
Something irresist...oh who am I kidding?!
Okay, so while you or I might not be getting buff playing Wii, we certainly are having more fun that we ever did with previous gaming consoles, right? I mean, the best interactivity we could have hoped for with other consoles was a little buzz or vibration from the controller when you got shot or crashed your vehicle.
So if you're anything like me then you also say "Once you've had Wii you ain't never going back" (Okay, if you or I actually said that out loud to someone they would look at us very strangely - but YOU know where I'm coming from). The Wii is definitely here to stay, and I don't know about you but these days I'm trying to get my hands on as much Wii material as humanly possible.
It was with a resounding cheer then when I stumbled across a little site recently called Unlimited Wii Downloads (I didn't actually cheer out loud, as again people close by would have looked at me very strangely). Finally, here was a site that allowed me to download Wii games.

Unlimited Wii Downloads claims to be "The World's Best Wii Download Service", and that might well be true as in my endless searching for all things Wii I haven't come across a site that compares to it (well, not a legitimate one anyway).
The way it works is that you sign up with the choice of a yearly subscription account of a lifetime membership that means you simply pay a once-only membership fee and away you go. It's as easy as that! No "pay-per-download" to worry about. You get a lifetime membership and with that you get access to an endless amount of Movies, Music, Images, Screen Savers, Wallpaper and most importantly Games, to download for your Wii.
All the necessary software is supplied with the membership. It's not a case of you paying for the membership and then getting stuck having to pay for extra software on top. Everything is supplied, there's no need to go anywhere else.
They also have around-the-clock technical support 24/7 for any problems you may encounter - although it's unlikely you'll need it as the set up and navigation is so simple even my Mother could do it.
And just in case you have any lingering doubts, if you pay your membership through PayPal you get 56 days to decide if you're happy with it. If you're not happy with this fantastic service you get your money back, no questions asked. But that's not the best of it!
If you click on this link you will be offered the chance to pay your membership through Clickbank, the affiliate marketplace. The Clickbank return policy lasts for 8 weeks - more than enough time to try everything out and see if it's for you. If not, simply contact Clickbank for a full refund.
You really can't lose.
Personally, I think plenty of sites like this will start popping up all over the place in the not-too-distant-future, which will lessen the quality of the products being offered. Unlimited Wii Media offer the very best in downloadable content for your Wii, but once the spammers figure out there's a buck to be made you'll see "cheap and nasty" download sites full of poor content appearing everywhere - and then most people won't know where to go for quality stuff.
So if you're looking to download Wii games then my advice is to get on board with Unlimited Wii Media and avoid joining another site down the track where you'll no doubt have to wade through a mountain of crap to find one half-decent pearl.

So Much Fun Wii Have To Share It!
A friend of mine, Tal Siach, over at Walyou.com dropped me a line about this Wii-related post that had recently gone up on his site. If you don't know already, Walyou.com is a great place to learn about getting the most out of your technological products.
The post, made by Eran Abramson and titled "The Nintendo Wii brings people together" talks about not only how great a gaming console the Nintendo Wii is, but also how and why it's bringing people together simply because it's more fun to play than other consoles - especially with groups of friends. Let's face it, with it's unique motion-sensor controls, the Wii is designed for fun activities and what could be more fun than getting a group of people around your place for a Wii bit of action, adventure, shoot 'em ups, dancing, puzzle solving, etc? From the Walyou.com post itself:
The Nintendo Wii console is focused on remarkable usability and fun. Its games are not as graphically advanced as the others, but allow a child, adult and senior to play and compete with one another. The literal hands on approach requires you to do more than just push buttons. In a tennis match, you must move toward the ball and swing; when bowling, the speed of the throw is determined by your effort; while boxing, you must guard and swing in order to survive. Since the games require further physical interaction from its players, the involvement and enjoyment are enhanced.
SOURCE
Couldn't have said it better myself. Eran also writes how a more diverse demographic are using the Wii than other consoles, simply because the Wii has such a group-orientated feel to it. Seniors are playing to keep active, couples are playing together (rather than other consoles generally being played by males) and even cruise ships are incorporating the console to help overcome that all-too-common feeling of unease when you get a bunch of strangers in a room together.
You can check out the rest of the article here, and I suggest you do as it's a good read - not to mention a good argument to have when those PS3 and 360 users try to say their consoles are better ;o)

A Wii Bit On Safety
When playing the best Wii games (or any Wii games for that matter), it's important to be aware of the possible risks involved. This should in no way discourage you from owing a Nintendo Wii, but should bring to light some of the dangers associated with playing your Wii. As the saying goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
For starters, lets check out some of the warning labels that come with the Nintendo Wii:
![]() Don't beat your woman at Wii sports. She will knock you out. | ![]() Madden NFL will not perform better with Gatorade. |
![]() Smoking may harm Wii's baby. | ![]() A four leaf clover will not help you complete The Legend of Zelda. |
![]() Suicide is not an option!! | ![]() Life's pretty straight without Twisty (ties) |
![]() Sticky tape - need we say more? | ![]() The Wii reigns supreme - XBox 360 and PS3 are garbage. |
Thanks to MyWii.com.au for images and captions.
There is also a website dedicated to the dangers of Wii gaming, called "Wii Have A Problem". As they put it:
"Wii have a problem" is a blog focused on bringing you the latest trend in gaming violence. That of damage caused by "window lickers" who should not be participating in activity of any form... yet own a Wii. Why? Because we're fanboys that's why.
It's a funny blog that documents the damages to furniture, lighting, people, and pets on account of over-vigorous Wii game-play, amongst other things. The video below is a example of what the site displays.
So always be sure to take the necessary precautions when playing the best Wii games out there - or you may end up having to fork out for a new HDTV, or even new teeth.
This blog post is for amusement only, and should not be taken seriously...unless you're really really clumsy.

How To Choose The Best Wii Games
In this age of expanding gaming markets there is a growing diversity in opinions when it comes to what makes the best Wii games. With more complex playability and designers striving to out do themselves it can be difficult to decide what game is right for you. Still, in this humble writers opinion there are some tried and true criteria that I think anyone can use when determining what makes, for them, THE Wii game to buy.
The Checklist
| Is the game fun to play? Obviously, this is the most important criteria, as a game that isn't fun isn't worth paying for. | |
| How many times can the game be replayed from scratch before it gets boring? This is all about value for money. | |
| How does the game look? Does the design grab you - this is probably one of the biggest variables, as we each have our own opinion of what looks good. | |
| Does the game make the most of the controller? Not as important as the points above, but none the less you'll get bored pretty quick if you're only using two buttons to play. | |
| How does it sound? One of the least important aspects for me, but still, it's all about the overall gaming experience - and sound plays a big part in that. | |
| Originality. I've put this on the bottom of the list, and for me it isn't overly important that a game breaks the mold. Most games work on a platform that is tried and tested, and it's really what the designers do with that platform that sets a great game apart from the rest. Still gets an honorable mention, though. |
How about you? What other criteria do you look for when seeking out the best Wii games?

The Best Wii Games Results Are In
| There has often been much debate as to what are the best Wii games available. Understandably, people like different things so opinions vary. Someone might find a game rocks because it's easy of play, while another might prefer games that are more challenging. One person might think a games bright colors and uplifting music add so much to their gaming experience that they rate it the best, while someone else might find that a creepy atmosphere and an eerie score works best for them. In most cases it really comes down to personal choice and you'll need to ask yourself what is it that, for you, makes a Wii game great. |
The Games

![]() | Super Paper Mario - Great use of the Wii remote for this 3rd release in the Paper Mario series. Easy to get the hang off. Improved features! |

![]() | Warioware: Smooth Moves - Terrific use of the Wii remote. Hundreds of micro-games covering the Nintendo universe bring back plenty of fond favorites. A wild and crazy thrill ride! |

Opinions Divided On Best Wii Games Reviews
| There seems to be a lot of divided opinions when it comes to what are the best Wii games and why. Check out one site and they'll tell you a game is definitely worth your hard earned bucks - go to another site and they'll tell you the same game is a waste of money. Wii game reviews seem more inconsistent than any other gaming platform on the market these days - it's like reviewers can't actually agree on just what makes a good Nintendo Wii game good. |

Essence And Purpose
The main debate seems to be centered around what reviewers believe is the essence of a good Wii game - or how those essentials stack up - so much so that the ratings across the board for some games are more uneven than the New York City skyline. The purpose of reviews should be to help the consumer make an informed choice - not only about which game to buy for their particular console, but also which gaming console is right for them to begin with (which can be based on the types of games available - and the reviews these games receive). So while the opinion of the reviewer obviously matters, they need to keep sight of their main aim - that of giving the consumer enough information to make an educated decision.
Some would say (and I agree) that the past ways of game review - such as rating a game based purely on Graphics, Sound, Controls, etc - are outdated. As gaming techniques mature and designers create more diverse and original experiences for the gamers, those simple ways of rating a game have become obsolete, and a new set of criteria is needed. The reviewers must evolve with the games they are reviewing and in most cases this is happening, but some sites still seem way behind the mark when it comes to reviewing Wii games. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting every reviewer to give the same game the same rating (and a cross section of opinions and reasons for those opinions, while sometimes adding to the confusion, can only be a healthy thing in the ongoing debate of what makes the best Wii games), but it's almost as if they are unsure how to rate a Wii game in comparison to the standard gaming platforms of the past.
| Only time will tell, as more cross-platform games are released, whether these inconsistencies will continue, but I'd like to know your thoughts on whether or not you see a division between reviewers over the best Wii games. | ![]() |
